The Overhead Air Cleaner
The OH-1010 puts the technology of Dynamic Air Cleaners into a self-contained ceiling mounted unit. Its attractive appearance and quiet easy-maintenance operation make it suitable for installation in a variety of settings, including bars, restaurants, board rooms, and offices. The OH-1010 may be ordered with either an on-board on/off switch or wired to a remote wall switch.

Mounting Options
The OH-1010 may be installed either partially recessed into a drop ceiling, with 4.25" exposed, or fully exposed on a hard surface, with 9.25" of total depth. The unit may be mounted with chains or all-thread anchors,. In certain instances, OH-1010s have been mounted vertically on walls.

The OH-1010 comes pre-wired with either an on-board "high-low-off" switch or for connection to a wall-mounted switch. The wall switch can control up to four units.

Installation Guidelines
For any air cleaning system to be effective, it must be able to remove airborne contaminants more quickly than they are generated. this translates to having a sufficient number of air changes through the air cleaners. The number will vary with the expected contaminant level of the application: for example, in a bar or casino a minimum of fifteen air changes an hour is recommended; in a restaurant, twelve air changes will generally be adequate.

In a typical installation, or Panel Air Cleaners retrofit into the existing air handlers to take advantage of the "free" air changes form those systems, and OH-1010s will be used to boost the general air change rate and in heavy use areas, such as over the bar.

Ultraviolet Light has been recognized for years as an acceptable method for pathogen inactivation. One of its first uses was in the area of water treatment, where slow flowing water made it easy to provide the exposure time necessary to kill pathogens. Then, UV was applied to the HVAC industry, where it was used primarily to inactivate pathogens on fixed surfaces such as an air conditioning coil.

Air Cleaner: It shall be non-ionizing. electronically enhanced, polarized media air cleaner. It shall not produce ozone. The power head shall be capable of converting the 24VAC to the 6.5KV and draw no more than two watts of power and be equipped with a high-voltage resistor to de-energize the air cleaner when the power shut off.

Air cleaner Media: Replaceable air cleaner media shall be individual, disposable glass fiber ‘pillows” (a sandwich of two ply of fiber glass with a carbon mesh core) and shall be placed between the outside grounded screens. The air cleaner door shaII be hinged so as to allow easy access to the glass fiber pad foot replacement.
